"Malevych" pillow
Decorative pillow from the Etnodim × Ukraine WOW collaboration, based on a sketch by Kazymyr Malevych.
Kazymyr Malevych regarded Ukrainian folk artisans, particularly those from the village of Verbivka in the Cherkasy region, as his first teachers. The Verbivka Artel was among the first to respond to the artist’s early Suprematist compositions, bringing his innovative sketches to life through embroidery on scarves and pillows.
We have recreated the original look of one of these pillows. The product is charitable: 40% of the profit will be donated to the historical museum of the Kamianka State Historical and Cultural Reserve in the city of Kamianka, Cherkasy region, to support the exhibition dedicated to the Verbiv embroidery artel.
