Art of
Embroidery
Review
Embroidery – an ancient Ukrainian craft, the essence and foundation of Etnodim.
In over 15 years, we have evolved from traditional patterns to modern embroidery art.
Through collaborations with museums and artists, cultural and architectural research, and travels across the country, we find inspiration that allows us to blend authenticity with modernity in our collections. For us, embroidery is an art, and we strive to preserve, develop, and pass it on.

Our Statement
We aim to show that embroidered clothing can be part of modern style. Not only for special
occasions but also for everyday wear.
Therefore, we are constantly exploring new approaches and ideas, creating new symbols and meanings to share embroidery with Ukraine and the world.

Our Production
Etnodim is a modern brand of embroidered clothing and a research center. Research, design,
and development are the three key stages that each of our collections and projects go
through:
Research
The development of each collection begins with research. It is a lengthy process, where our
researcher meticulously examines ancient samples and museum archives, discovers new names,
elements, and facts from history, culture, and art. This is how every collection is filled
with meaning.
Design
Our designers transform the research materials into patterns, create clothing silhouettes,
choose materials, fabric colors, threads, and accessories. At this stage, we experiment a
lot, seeking combinations of colors and textures, creating new embroidery techniques and
forms.
Development
Pattern making, programming, embroidery, and garment sewing all take place during the
development stage. We are meticulous about every detail and the quality of the embroidery,
so we check and refine each finished item by hand, ensuring the highest standards.
Our Team
We started in 2009 with a team of 2 people. At that time, we were searching for and inviting
artisans from across the country to create embroidered garments. Today, our team consists of
200 people, with our own production facility in Kyiv and two showrooms in Kyiv and Lviv.
