Etnodim has released embroidery kits
Embroidery in Ukraine functions as a cultural link across generations, carried through the language of hands, repeated ornament, and contemplative time spent over the fabric. It is also one of the few creative practices that results in a tangible keepsake that stays with you for many years to come.
Etnodim invites you to explore this craft firsthand. The brand’s lineup now includes embroidery kits designed for both beginners picking up a needle for the first time and anyone returning to the craft after a long break.
The collection features two options. The "Tsvit" kit includes two square napkins embroidered using three techniques: diagonal cross-stitch, double-sided satin stitch, and counted diagonal satin stitch. The round "Kvitneva" napkin features the "retyaz" contour stitch technique—a method native to the Lyubeshiv region that joined Volyn’s intangible cultural heritage list in 2025.
Each kit comes with a practice fabric swatch to help you master the techniques, along with DMC embroidery floss, needles, a thimble, snips, storage pouches, and detailed instructions. The design is pre-marked with visual guides, where the lines within each pattern indicate the direction of the stitches. We have also prepared a video tutorial for those who prefer visual learning.

These kits make a great gift for anyone who enjoys working with their hands or treasures items with a personal touch. They can be found on the Etnodim website or at the brand’s showrooms in Kyiv and Lviv.
